Our Work: Spacious House Designed for a Family with One Child

The most important aspect of any interior design project is the family for whom it is created and the overall context. The house that we will present in this article was designed for a young family, with one child, who wanted a functional kitchen, with enough storage space, an airy and minimalist living area in terms of colors, bedrooms as free as possible from furniture and simple but elegant bathrooms. In this context, the final result is a unique design that combines functionality with carefully selected furniture and a few accent colors.

The entrance to the house leads directly into the living area, where the living room, dining area, and kitchen openly connect with one another. In order for the space to be orderly, as well as visually surprising, we chose unitary finishes: light-colored parquet and white walls, and as for the furniture we opted for tones of gray and beige, combined with black (the kitchen).

The kitchen is organized in an L-shape with custom-made furniture. The window area was left open to allow as much light as possible to flood the space. The matte black furniture (similar to the window joinery) gives the feeling of an orderly and airy space.

For a tidy look, the kitchen furniture was designed with milled handles. The worktop area is extended by the small island. This kitchen design provides minimal visibility over the worktop from and to the living room. All appliances are integrated into the furniture, and for the wall in the worktop area, we chose gray finishes to create a seamless connection with the dining and living areas. The kitchen lighting fixtures give the space an industrial look.

The entire ground floor of the house is decorated in a cohesive style, in beige and gray tones, which are found both in the overall decoration and in the furniture. The entire space is utilized to its maximum potential – we integrated a generous sofa and a table for six people on the ground floor. The TV was placed on the wall between the windows, so that there is visibility from all the corners of the living room space. For a dynamic effect, the wall behind the TV was enhanced with a decorative wallpaper in gray tones. The yellow armchair, the coffee table, the chest of drawers in the TV area and the chest of drawers in the dining zone harmoniously complement the entire space.

The master bedroom is decorated in a modern, simple and minimalist style. The ribbing panels behind the bed and the contrast between the two walls to the left and right of the bed add a touch of refinement to the bedroom and inspire the feeling of a restful, welcoming and airy space. The mirrors applied to the wooden ribbing provide depth to the space and visually enlarge it. The bed in the master bedroom has a simple and modern shape, being upholstered for added comfort. At floor level, the carpet is asymmetrical in relation to the ribbing behind the bed, but symmetrical with the gray wall.

For the child’s room, we took into account the age and concerns of the little one and adapted the color palette as well as the features. Therefore, the child’s room is flooded with white, blue and pale pink. The functional layout can also be noticed here, meaning that the room is divided into a rest area and a play/study area. The rest area is composed of the blue Montessori bed, and the wall behind it is decorated with plywood that resembles clouds. The play/study area features a small table with a chair, while the shelves on this wall serve to maintain order. The cabinets were chosen to cover the entire wall next to the door, and all the room’s furnishings were made in a manner that keeps the center of the room as free as possible.

The guest bedroom is simply decorated in shades of blue. The wall behind the bed as well as the rug add dynamism and depth to the space. Here too, the bed features upholstery for extra comfort.

The three bathrooms are designed in harmony with the rest of the house. For an extra touch of elegance, we chose a dark gray ceramic tile for the first bathroom. Additionally, for a neat and timeless look, the furniture was chosen to have the same shade as the walls.

The second bathroom is also elegantly designed, thanks to marble-look finishes. For a dynamic effect, we chose a mosaic-type cladding for the shower area and for the wall behind the mirror.

The third bathroom is minimalist, with ceramic tiles in shades of gray and beige, a mosaic wall, a bathtub and a free-standing washbasin. For optimal storage, we opted to build a cabinet into the wall above the toilet.

The result is functional, harmonious, welcoming and, without a doubt, will last over time, thanks to the high-quality furniture, sanitary ware and finishes.

Our Work: Interiors in Neutral Colors from Our Projects

Neutral colors are a safe option for decorating your home, whether it’s a living room, a bedroom, or a kitchen. A neutral color scheme can be successfully used in any type of interior design, providing the perfect setting to experiment with a variety of decorative objects.

Neutral Color Scheme – Interior Design Project for a 3-Room Apartment in Dubai

Even though interior design trends change from year to year, both in style and color, neutral shades like beige, gray, white, with all their tones and undertones can stay in our homes for a long time. This is because neutral shades are modern and classic at the same time and they improve our mood, adapting to any interior design style.

Fully Designed Interior in Neutral Colors

If you like neutral colors and want a completely neutral interior, we recommend that you opt for warm cream or vanilla tones that you can combine with other tones in the same color range – butter white, beige, light gray. When we say completely neutral interior, we mean that you can choose neutral colors for walls, floors, furniture and decorations. These types of arrangements are very suitable for the living room, especially because neutral tones exude relaxation and calm. A completely neutral interior will always be simple, clean and very bright.

New Rules Dictated by the Pandemic – How the HoReCa Industry is Adapting

It’s been a year since the world changed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Many industries were caught off guard by this unforeseen situation, and the HoReCa field was among the most affected fields. The “new normal” comes with strict rules and responsibility. The HoReCa businesses that managed to adapt to the situation as best as possible remained in the game. How did they adapt, what were the challenges and what solutions did the owners in the HoReCa industry find? Let’s see.

The first spaces to reopen were the terraces, allowing for social distancing relatively easily without interfering with the design of the space. The rule of maintaining a minimum distance of 2 m between tables was the most important rule, and owners in the HoReCa industry adapted by separating tables with potted plants, dividing or decorative panels. Many opted for the option of creating glass or plexiglass bungalows to separate each table. Other options would be to separate tables with dividing panels made of transparent Plexiglas or other materials so that they integrate into the space’s design.

We still spend time on the terraces, where the cold and bad weather was truly a problem. But the issue was turned into an advantage by arranging the terraces for unfriendly weather.
– Heaters were the most affordable option to create constant heat for customers, but also a welcoming atmosphere;
– Fluffy and warm blankets placed on the backs of the chairs were also a solution;
– Some terraces were closed or partially covered with transparent foils or retractable roofs, so that customers would be protected from the cold;

As for tables and chairs, both in the restaurant and on the terraces, round or square tables are recommended, with armchairs or chairs placed around them, so as to maintain the distance between the tables but also to create a pleasant atmosphere and a dynamic space. Of course, the furniture must be specifically designed for HoReCa to ensure it lasts over time, as the items will be cleaned and disinfected after each customer, making wear and tear more intense.

Whether we are talking about restaurants, terraces, hotels, there has been an increase in the number of hospitality units that have turned to digitalization, so as to avoid contact between people as much as possible. Many hotels have started to replace the classic reception with tablets or digitalized panels through which customers can check in themselves. For example, many hotels in Europe installed digital panels through which customers can order additional services, such as breakfast, SPA, or request a change of towels, so direct contact between the customer and the staff would be minimized. In many restaurants, cafes, bars, the virtual menu was implemented – with the help of your personal mobile phone you scan the QR code on the table and therefore you can browse the menu.

Every space in the HoReCa industry should offer guests comfort and safety and most likely, in the future, the main requirement for building and arranging hospitality spaces will be to create places that inspire safety. Cottages, bungalows or containers with direct access to the outside environment will be the most sought-after accommodation options, as an example.

Even though the pandemic has greatly affected the HoReCa sector, many owners have seen this as a challenge, thus becoming more creative in arranging spaces intended for inviting customers.

Trends: Bathroom Design with Colored Sanitary Fixtures

Most of us are used to apartments or houses with shared bathrooms, made up of standard, white sanitary ware. But what if the bathroom became more than just a functional space? What if we could breathe new life into the bathroom, making it vibrant, full of color and style, with colorful sanitary ware? Fortunately, now it is possible!

Currently, we have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of colored sanitary ware that has begun to appear on the Romanian market. There is a wide range of colors and shapes, textures and materials different from the classic glossy white ceramics so that you can design your bathroom exactly according to your taste. Washbasins, toilets, bathtubs are no longer just strictly functional objects: with the right choice they play an extremely important role in the aesthetics and ambiance of the bathroom.

Copper is one of the most popular finishes for bathroom fixtures, whether it’s pink copper for an elegant ambiance or reddish copper for a rustic ambiance. Bathroom fixtures with copper finishes work well in bathrooms decorated in a white-gray color scheme with marble elements or, for an industrial ambiance, with concrete-finished walls.

For those who love art and want a truly special bathroom, hand-painted ceramic sanitary ware is the ideal choice! Talavera ceramics, as its name suggests, is a type of ceramic that is characterized by hand-painting with natural pigments of yellow, green, purple, blue and black on a white ceramic base. Therefore, sanitary ware with decorative paintings will become statement pieces in any bathroom!

A truly special typology, but also the newest and most well-known, is represented by the colored sanitary ware from the collection DALET Color, signed by the famous designer Karim Rashid, in the portfolio Delta Studio.

Powder pink, ocher or green, are sophisticated shades intended for the smart luxury segment, allowing for the design of a minimalist, classic or modern bathroom.

Our Work – 8 Designs with Wood Accents from Our Projects

It is well known that wood transforms any home into a comfortable and welcoming space, but more than that, wood adds a noble and charming air to the room. This year, wood is one of the trending materials and a favorite among interior designers, allowing you to add a natural accent to your home decor. We have prepared some ideas for decors with wood accents from our projects. We hope they will inspire you too!

Wood Accents in Living Room Design

In the design of this apartment in Dubai, we designed the decor of the entire space with wooden accents. We chose to present the living room to you today, but you can see the entire design here. The living room is separated from the kitchen and hallway area by wooden ribbing. The decor was designed to complement the hallway and the kitchen, so we opted for the combination of gray with wooden textures. We enhanced the living room with a generous sofa and a wooden bookcase, pieces chosen especially for this environment. The rest of the furniture pieces are meant to add warm to this welcoming setting. The white curtains and the wooden rocking chair perfectly complement the living room and give the environment the feeling of airy space. Both the fireplace and the wooden logs placed under the bookcase add more texture to the room and highlight the idea of designing with wooden accents.

Wood Accents in Dining Area Design

For a dining area arrangement we chose to mix modern and classic elements. So we opted for a table with a wooden top, with an industrial look, and copper-plated metal chairs.

Wood Accents in Kitchen Design

In designing this Dubai 4-bedroom apartment, we chose to keep the kitchen simple, cohesive and tidy. The furniture with wooden cabinet doors was custom-made and designed to provide maximum storage. The rest of the kitchen furniture is chosen to create a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The chairs contrast beautifully with the natural white and brown tones of the furniture, creating an airy space.

In this kitchen, we chose wooden accents to improve the atmosphere, integrating a piece of furniture with open wooden shelves in the refrigerator area and in the island area. The island and the chairs were designed with wooden accents in order to enhance the environment and eliminate the monotony inspired by the neutral finishes and wall color.

Tips and Tricks – Attic Design

Attic spaces have recently gained popularity. If not long ago attics were used mainly for storage, now they can be transformed into various spaces: relaxation space, living room, office and even playground. The room’s role is an aspect that you must take into account when it comes to making the best choice in terms of design. And if you decided to change your attic’s role, we have prepared some tips and ideas meant to inspire you in the process of transforming this space into a unique environment.

Attic Design in Gray and Black Tones – Part of a Villa Interior Project in Dubai

Attic design offers great versatility when you clearly understand your needs. Let your creativity take the lead and you will see that the attic can be easily transformed into an office, children’s playground, bedroom, living room, guest room, or library.

Attic Living Room Design
Attic living room has become increasingly popular in interior design, especially for people who seek extra privacy and comfort, which an attic offers without any doubts. However, be careful with the furniture you choose so as not to overcrowd the space, especially if you have sloping walls. Opt for cabinets in simple, minimalist lines, wall-mounted shelves, a coffee table and a comfortable sofa. Thus, you can create the unique atmosphere you desire.

Bright and Airy Attic Living Room in a Neutral Color Palette – Part of a Villa Interior Project in Dubai

Designing an Attic Home Office
The office you want to create in the attic must be very well lit, functional and offer optimal conditions for a high level of productivity. Opt for a generous desk and a comfortable chair, many wall-mounted shelves where you can store all the things you need to properly carry out your work. If space allows, set up a place to relax for breaks between emails: choose a sofa or a corner sofa and a bookcase. Install tall floor lamps in the corners of the attic to create a calming atmosphere.

Designing a Spacious Attic Home Office

Designing an Attic Bedroom
Transforming your attic into a bedroom is a great option if you’re looking for a secluded and private sleeping space. The attic bedroom can be both a child’s bedroom or a guest room as well. If you have sloping walls, it’s best to position the bed along the lowest wall to maximize the remaining space. To visually enlarge the space, paint the walls and the ceiling in light shades, then add lighting fixtures in order to create a calm, relaxing and intimate atmosphere.

Attic Bedroom with Custom-Made Furniture – Part of an Interior Design Project for an Attic in Dubai

Attic Playroom
The attic can be the ideal place for children. Therefore, setting up a playground here can be an excellent choice. Choose a harmonious color scheme and combine neutral and subtle shades with colorful accents. Choose functional and playful furniture, colorful rugs, but set up a study corner with a desk and bookcase as well, for those moments when children should be focused on studying.

Choosing the Right Furniture for Your Attic
Regardless of the role that the attic plays in your house, you should know that this space does not require many furniture pieces, but rather needs a simple and minimalist arrangement. To ensure the furniture blends seamlessly into your space and maximizes every corner, opt for custom-made furniture. Adding a few decorative elements, such as pillows, candles or frames that illustrate your favorite images or quotes, would be a great choice of customizing your space.

Attic Designed with Custom-Made Furniture in Simple Lines

Color Palette for the Attic
Most of the time, attics are not very large and they do not receive much natural light. That is why we recommend selecting a color scheme rich in light and neutral tones, to visually enlarge the space.

Neutral Color Scheme in Attic Design – Villa Interior Project in Dubai

Lighting in the Attic
For artificial lighting, we recommend simple lighting systems – light bulbs with shades or simple ones, lamps and table lamps made of natural materials, wall lamps and spotlights placed in various places so as to inspire the atmosphere you want. When it comes to natural light, the attic gives you the opportunity to install roof windows, creating a dreamy atmosphere.

Bright and Inviting Attic – Attic Design Project in Dubai

Therefore, the attic, that space usually used for storage, can be transformed into a unique place. All you have to do is let your imagination and creativity take lead and opt for a layout that best comply with your needs.

Our Work: 90 sqm Apartment Designed in Dubai

When a young family buys an apartment, they want the space to feel warm and welcoming, especially in today’s conditions, which calls for a variety of design styles. We proposed a warm and bright approach for a 3-bedroom apartment, with a total area of 90sqm, based on accents with wooden textures. The owners, a young family with a child, desired a modern and warm environment, a functional decor. Although the kitchen is open to the living room and hallway, we arranged the space in a manner that allows everything necessary for the kitchen to exist without affecting the final image of the setting.

Bright and Modern Apartment Designed in Dubai

The warm and welcoming image of a home can be noticed from the entrance. In this case, the hallway was decorated and furnished in a way that reflects a warm environment, of wood. In addition to the wooden parquet and the chest of drawers at the entrance, the wooden ribbing continues the textures and shades of wood, vertically. The environment is enhanced by a generous bookcase and storage spaces in gray tones, custom-made according to the recipients’ needs.

The kitchen, open to the hallway and living room, was designed as a cohesive space, with the same key combination of gray and wood textures used in the hallway. The large and tall windows allow natural light to properly flood the space. The lack of a dividing wall allowed us to install an island as a dining area. We created two worktop zones and sufficient storage space in both the suspended and lower cabinets. The furniture was created according to the project’s theme.

The living room is separated from the kitchen and hallway area by wooden ribbing. The decor was designed to complement the hallway as well as the kitchen, so we opted for the combination of gray with wooden textures. The living room has a generous sofa and a wooden bookcase, pieces chosen according to this place’s design. The rest of the furniture pieces play the role of enhancing the warm and welcoming atmosphere of this environment. The white curtains and the rocking chair ideally complement the living room and give the environment the feeling of an airy space. Both the fireplace and the wooden logs placed under the bookcase add more texture to the room and highlight the wooden accents stylistic idea. Neutral tones, gray, wooden textures, clean and simple lines predominate in the living room, which leads to the immediate observation of some accents – the decorative pillows and green plants.

For the master bedroom, we chose custom-made furniture. The basic combination in this room consists of white, gray and wooden textures. The personalization was achieved by adding decorative objects. The work area is furnished with only the essentials, serving as both a desk and a dressing table. The bed is framed in white suspended elements that end with wooden suspended bedside tables. Through the shade of the bed upholstery, a new color, namely pale pink, was introduced in this space, perfectly complementing its decor.

The child’s bedroom was decorated in white and wooden textures. The furniture is simple, custom-made, fulfilling the role of both the sleeping area and the play area. The bed zone was personalized by the color of the wall – the chosen mint green shade complements the wooden textures and the white used for the bed.

The bathroom was treated neatly and simply, with unique finishes. We chose ceramic tiles in gray tones for the floor, walls and white sanitary ware. Being a bathroom with a fairly large surface area, we opted for generous storage spaces as well, in wooden textures.

The apartment was entirely modernized, from electrical and heating installations to finishes and bathroom improvements. Therefore, the final result is in line with the owners’ expectations.

How does the first meeting go? How should I prepare as a potential client?

The first meeting is usually online. In the first meeting we get to know each other, find out the requirements and expectations of the beneficiary and showcase the progress of the project. If this first meeting takes place before the space is measured by our team, the beneficiary provides us with the plans of the apartment/house/space that we would furnish. If the meeting with the client occurs after our team has taken the measurements and created the 2D furnishing plan, we focus specifically on discussing the furnishing plan. The clients already receive the “design theme” in advance from us, which helps establish the furnishing style together during that meeting.

What are the steps/stages of an interior design process and how does iDecorate approach a project?

The steps are simple, and the manner of approaching and carrying out the project depends on how the client chooses to communicate with us.

The first step is the offer. Based on the plans received on our email and the reference images for the design style, we send our financial proposal to our client. After the proposal is approved, the contract is signed. Once the contract is signed, we schedule a day for our colleagues to take the measurements. We measure the space, while receiving the design brief from the client.

The second step is to meet with the beneficiary to determine how the project will evolve. The 2D plan, furnishings, space limitations and the various options are discussed, as well as the references and the beneficiary’s design style/desires.

The third step is reflected by 3D simulations. Once the final furnishing option of the 2D plan is established (Phase 1 of the project), we move on to Phase 2, namely the 3D simulations. In this stage (the stage that also involves the longest working time), the chromatics, the ambiance, the furnishing style and the furniture are established. The project is handed over entirely to the beneficiary so he can see it as a whole and get an image of the final result. We never hand it over in pieces or areas of the arrangement. After handing over the 3D project, we discuss the 3D simulations with our client, and decide together if there are any chromatic or overall changes that should be considered and bring the project to the optimal version both from a functional and compositional point of view.

The completion of the 3D stage coincides with the fourth step and the beginning of Phase 3 – the furniture detailing phase. There are two options to choose from when it comes to the furniture detailing. In the 2D version, the client receives 2D drawings with overall dimensions and color codes to send the project for quotation to furniture manufacturers. Alternatively, the client can opt for the 3D version of the furniture drawings, which includes 3D renderings of the furniture pieces with internal compartmentalization and material specifications, also for obtaining supplier quotes.

After finalizing the 3D simulations, we also start working on the technical plans: ceiling plans (if light fixtures are included), finishes, plasterboard details, niches, electrical, plumbing, and heating fixture positioning plans, as well as finishing plans (in form of wallpaper or paint).

In parallel with Phase 3, Phase 4 (the budget estimate) is carried out as well, which involves the fifth step – here we send requests to the suppliers with whom we constantly work to get offers for custom-made elements: bespoke furniture, curtain and drapery fabrication and installation, finishes (tiles, parquet, paint), and sanitary fixtures. In addition to these offers, we send the beneficiary a complete, room-structured budget estimate, which includes all the objects that we used in the 3D simulations: size, color code, price, number of pieces, purchase link.

At the end of the project, if the client respects the received budget estimate and our information without changing it, the space will look exactly as in the 3D simulations agreed in Phase 2. For the recipients who want a complete package, we can add, upon request and in addition to the concept, the project implementation part (order correlation and tracking) and site monitoring (regular site visits to monitor the main phases of the project).

Interior Design Project for a 3-Bedroom Apartment

Interior Design Project for a 3-Bedroom Apartment

Do you also handle ‘turnkey’ arrangements?

Yes, our portfolio includes such projects as well. These projects contain, in addition to the concept part, the implementation and site monitoring part. We come to the client with complete service proposals and teams of builders to deliver successful “turnkey” projects.

At what stage of the project is it ideal for a potential client to get in touch with you?

If we are talking about a build from scratch, it is preferable to be contacted before the installations are carried out on site, but after the walls are placed. We have many projects in which we take over the houses right from the foundation stage, because the beneficiaries want to be certain that they have gathered all the important details from the beginning.

How long does an interior design project take?

The concept and detailing part of an interior design project usually takes, without execution, approximately 2-3 months. Execution and implementation are different stages. It is necessary to understand that this is about creation. We offer our clients unique projects, created and customized for them, and this is not an easy task that you can fulfill quickly. Also, each phase involves a period of feedback from the beneficiary, which we must take into account, as it involves an intermediate period between the design phases.

It is important that the project starts early, so that the client has enough time to think and respond.

It is also important to follow the steps for developing a design project: the interior design project (which includes the concept, technical plans, quantities, and finishes). Based on the entire project, we request bids from contractors. The contractor begins work on-site once we have the entire project (technical plans, details, and offers for finishes and sanitary facilities). Afterward, the finishes are ordered. Once the design work is completed, the installation of finishes, ceilings, and painting takes place, followed by the ordering of bespoke furniture and other items. Custom-made furniture is never ordered before the space is finished.

What should the client expect when working with you?

First of all, the beneficiary must be aware that chose us due to our experience. Our projects are backed by a team of professionals with 15 years of experience in the field and a degree in the industry. The client must be open to the idea of collaboration, to be aware that this type of project is the sum of elements that are discussed in the first place, and reach their final form after an exchange of ideas and opinions. There is no such thing as a “guessed” project from the start or a custom-made project executed in a very short amount of time.

If you have any other questions or concerns, send us an email at irina@idecorate.ro.

Fusion Style in Interior Design

Fusion style is a mix of new and old design aspects: pastel shades with bold hues, chandeliers with spotlights, straight lines with curved lines. Fusion style is considered eccentric mainly due to the fact that it combines elements that are so different, but the result it reflects is visually harmonious and pleasant.

One of the advantages of the fusion style is that it be applied using inexpensive solutions, evoking an unexpected atmosphere. Therefore, a velvet or silk cushion, a vintage lamp and an old rug can transform a simple space into a precious and unique one. This style is especially suitable for apartments, due to the fact that it is much easier to implement in small spaces than in houses, for example. The fusion style is very suitable for creative and bold people because it consists of putting your personal stamp on the decor of the space and defining your style.

Harmony and simplicity rule the fusion style. All decorative elements, textures, colors, materials must be in harmony and complement each other into the decor. The fusion style is built from simple, unsophisticated elements that gain their value through quality and age. For example, Persian rugs, velvet curtains, or vintage objects give the space personality and style, perfectly fitting in a room decorated in fusion style.

The fusion style is highlighted by an explosion of color. The specific shades of this style are the visually powerful ones, the ones that add personality, dynamics and life to the space itself: green, turquoise, pink, orange, yellow, gold, or red.

Simple and refined decor, as well as rich and precious textiles play an extremely important role in approaching the fusion style. Decorative pillows covered in velvet or silk, beautifully maintained Persian rugs, generous velvet curtains, and textiles with plant or animal prints can transform a trivial space into a precious, even luxurious one. Vintage decorations and antiques bring a unique charm to the space – a small vase, a candlestick, a vintage lamp, or an old wall clock.

The fusion style consists of a simple approach, it is a plain and comfortable style, with a few precious standard aspects. The fusion style brings together luxury and simplicity, two attributes that even if at first glance seem impossible to merge. They complement each other very well.

Today, we would like to showcase a 4-bedroom apartment, where we chose a neutral and timeless design approach. In the end, this style beautifully translates into the home’s intimacy, excellently reflecting the owners’ personality and style.

The apartment is divided into an open-plan living area, which includes the kitchen, living room and dining area, along with three other rooms (the master bedroom, the child’s bedroom and the dressing room/office) and two bathrooms. The owners wanted a modern, calm, elegant interior but not too busy or opulent. They wanted it to be functionally arranged and as orderly as possible, a comfortable and harmonious environment.

The entrance hall separates the different areas of the apartment – the day and night areas. For the floor, we chose a light-colored parquet, with walls and doors which are white so that the hall would be as bright as possible. The storage space is generous, and the cabinet doors, placed directly across from the living room, are covered with large mirrors to visually expand the space.

When you step into the living area, your eyes immediately focus on the sofa and dining area. All the furniture in the living room and dining area is placed in a manner that allows the window area to remain unobstructed, so that natural light can flow in as much as possible, creating a sense of greater spaciousness.

All surfaces are decorated with fabrics in neutral colors, with small accents of color (the chairs in the dining area) and generous curtains that amplify the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the state of comfort. The radiator hidden by the ribbing and the column that separates the living room from the kitchen, accessorized with ribbing, enhance the atmosphere. The TV area was decorated with custom-made furniture. Thus, a visual connection was created with the kitchen through similar finishes.

Since the living room is open to the kitchen, we chose to connect the functionality through the dining area, so the kitchen was decorated simply and neutrally. The kitchen has an island with a countertop facing the living room, to supplement the storage space. The furniture is custom-made, and the appliances are incorporated so that the overall aspect is as orderly as possible. To the left of the island, in the free space left next to the refrigerator, we organized a place for glasses. Arranged like a display case, this detail complements the overall design and emphasizes the vertical space.

The master bedroom has been given a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere through the upholstered bed in a pleasant shade of blue and the wall behind the bed, covered with wallpaper in a neutral tone featuring a subtle pattern. The lighting was designed in a manner that enhances the environment, especially in the evening.

The large drapes that we used highlight the room’s vertical space, and the armchair in a strong orange shade enhances the decor. The chest of drawers in front of the bed and the bedside tables were designed without handles, so as to visually harmonize the place and provide the same feeling of orderly space.

The child’s bedroom was designed taking into account both the environment and the decor in the rest of the home, as well as the child’s age. The furniture chosen is white, with generous storage space. The bed was chosen as a playhouse model to enhance the importance of a child’s playing time, and as for the wall behind the bed we chose a white and gray photo wallpaper with a simple pattern.

The fourth room is furnished with a dressing room and a desk, playing a dual role. For the wall behind the sofa, we chose a geometric wallpaper so that the room would be more dynamic. The color scheme complements the entire environment of the apartment. The color accents in the sofa area harmoniously enhance the dynamics of the space.

The child’s bathroom was designed with a built-in bathtub, choosing terrazzo for both the bathtub and the wall behind it. The washbasin furniture was chosen to be suspended, helping to visually enlarge the space by leaving the floor exposed. Additionally, for the same feeling of large space and brightness, we chose natural brown flooring and white walls.

The main bathroom was designed in a light gray shade and a wood-like texture which we used for both the sink and toilet area, as well as the shower. For the sink area, we chose built-in and suspended storage. The tiling in the shower area was designed to give the feeling of depth even if in a small space.

The owners wanted a contemporary and timeless environment, with a few features that reflect their personality. The great attention to detail, the custom-made furniture and each space organized as functionally as possible make everything very well proportioned. The finishes and color scheme blend perfectly with the textures that we used. Therefore, the result reflects a modern and welcoming apartment.
