Our Work – 10 Well-Organized Kitchens from Our Projects

Kitchen design can be a real challenge, especially when it comes to open-plan kitchens or apartment kitchens, whose small space is already known. We all want a well-organized, bright kitchen with enough storage space. We have prepared an article with 10 well-organized kitchens from our projects that we hope will inspire you.

1. Kitchen in Classic Lines
This type of kitchen openly connects with the living room. It was fitted with custom-made furniture in a warm shade of beige. The furniture is made of a glossy material that properly reflects light, giving depth to the space. The furniture is designed to run along the entire wall, with floor-to-ceiling doors and simple handles for a neat look. The kitchen is fitted with a bar-type island, which provides minimal visibility from the living room to the worktop and makes the transition to the living area easier.

2. L-Shaped Kitchen
In this kitchen, the window area was left unobstructed in order to allow light to properly flood the space. The matte black furniture (similar to the window frames) creates an airy, open feel. For an orderly look, the furniture was designed with milled handles. The countertop area is extended by an island, and this layout provides minimal visibility to and from the living room while working at the counter. All appliances are built into the furniture. Additionally, for the wall in the worktop area, we opted for gray finishes in order to visually connect the dining zone with the living room. The lighting fixtures in the kitchen add an industrial look to the space.

3. The Kitchen of a Three-Room Apartment
We present to you a kitchen that is a separate space, not connected to the living room. In apartment buildings, kitchens are not very generous in terms of space, which made us opt for a made up to the ceiling furniture, with milled handles, in tones of green and white, so as not to weigh down the space. Thanks to this choice, we were able to avoid giving up the generous storage spaces. The used finishes are unitary and simple, perfectly complementing the space.

4. Open Kitchen to the Hallway and Living Room
This kitchen was designed as a cohesive unit with the hallway and living room, with the same basic combination used throughout the rest of the space that the kitchen opens into – gray and wood textures. The large and tall windows allow natural light to flood the space. The lack of a dividing wall allowed us to integrate an island as a place for dining. We created two worktop areas and sufficient storage space in both the suspended and lower cabinets. The furniture was configured according to the project’s plan and to the recipients’ desires.

5. Kitchen Connected to the Living Room Through the Dining Area
Since it opens to the living room, we chose to connect the functionality through the dining area, which is why the kitchen was designed with a simple and neutral decor. The kitchen has an island with a countertop facing the living room, to supplement the storage space. The furniture is custom-made, and the appliances are incorporated so that the overall image is as orderly as possible. To the left of the island, in the free space left next to the refrigerator, we organized a special small area for glasses. Arranged like a display case, this detail complements the ensemble and emphasizes the vertical area of the space.

6. Kitchen Separate from the Rest of the Space by Glass Windows
In order to separate the kitchen from the rest of the ground floor, we opted for glass windows, from ceiling to floor, for a visual effect of a greater space. The kitchen is decorated in a modern style, in shades of black and white. For a unique accent, we covered the wall next to the door with cement-like paint. Organizing the furniture along the entire wall where the window is located gives depth to the space. The furniture was custom-made and was designed without handles for the cabinets and drawers, precisely to create an orderly appearance. The appliances are built-in, and since the space allowed, we also added a dining area for four people to enhance the decor.

7. Simple Kitchen in Neutral Tones
This kitchen, set up in an apartment, has been treated simply, unified and orderly, with a wall decorated with generous custom-made furniture, furniture designed to provide maximum storage. The rest of the kitchen furniture highlights the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The chairs nicely contrast with the natural white and brown shades of the furniture, so that the space is as airy as possible.

8. Gray-Toned Kitchen
We opted for gray as the main color to break the monotony created by the neutral chosen finishes and the color of the walls. Straight lines, hidden/milled handles or push openings were the choices for the furniture. Instead of the classic tiling, we chose white glass – it is easier to maintain and makes the transition between the base and suspended units more smoothly. To improve the atmosphere, we integrated a unit with open shelves in natural pal in the refrigerator area and in the island zone.

Villa Design Project in Dubai

9. Small but Well-Organized Kitchen
Although small and cramped at first, after the reconfiguration, it became a spacious kitchen, where all the necessary appliances and storage were perfectly integrated. Thus, we opted for organizing a “soldier’s wall” – to incorporate the refrigerator, oven, boiler and to benefit from as many storage spaces as possible. As a chromatic scheme, we opted for white with accents of turquoise, solar yellow and natural wood. The floor was reconditioned and enhanced with the mosaic inspired from the balcony’s used texture.

House Design Project in Dubai

10. Minimalist Kitchen
For this kitchen, we chose a minimalist layout, without open spaces, with furniture that integrates all the necessary appliances. Instead of classic tiles, we opted for white, heat-resistant glass, used to finish the area between the countertop and the suspended units. In order not to visually clutter the space, choosing a table with a glass top was the best option.

Our Work – A House in Dubai, Decorated in Classic Lines, for a Family with Two Children

When you have your own family, the safety and comfort of your loved ones become a priority, and home design is certainly one of them. Today we would like to showcase the home of a family with two children, a girl and a boy. For the house with a ground floor and two additional floors, the owners wanted a functional layout, a classic design, with a welcoming living room and a generous dining table. The final result is in line with the owners’ expectations, a unified, balanced and functional environment. We invite you to read further to see more!

Classic Style Home for a Family with Two Children

The house is organized with a living area on the ground floor, which includes the living room, kitchen, dining area, and a service bathroom. The night area is arranged on the upper two floors, where the bedrooms and additional bathrooms are.

The entrance to the house leads directly into the living area, where the owners wanted a more orderly and airy look. We chose white finishes, parquet flooring and a white-beige color scheme.

The kitchen directly connects with the living room and was decorated with custom-made furniture, in a warm shade of beige. The furniture material is glossy, which reflects light and gives depth to the space. The furniture was designed to span the entire wall, with doors reaching up to the ceiling and simple handles for a neat, orderly appearance. The kitchen is equipped with a bar-type island, which offers minimal visibility from the living room to the worktop and makes the transition to the living area easier.

The living room and dining area are designed as a cohesive space, in beige and white tones, with blue accents found in the decorative pillows on the sofa and a stool. The TV area is one of the most interesting parts in the living room, hosting a bottle display area, highlighted by a different wall finish, but also a fireplace. Although the space is very generous, we chose to enhance the wall behind the sofa with a mirror that gives the feeling of an even greater space.

The living area is efficiently utilized by placing a six-person dining table right next to the windows. In order to obtain a balanced environment, we opted for shades of beige. One of the chairs that we selected has a shade of green, which adds a vibrant visual effect to the space.

The guest bathroom is fitted with ceramic finishes in beige tones, both on the floor and walls. Because the space is not generous enough, we opted for a walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin fitted with suspended furniture in an anthracite grey shade.

The master bedroom is decorated in classic lines, with white as the predominant color. The velvet-upholstered bed, mirror, bench at the foot of the bed, bedside table finishes and chandeliers, they all enhance the classic aesthetic. For the wall behind the bed, we chose a pink decorative wallpaper that perfectly complements the entire environment. The bedroom contains a dressing room as well, equipped with wardrobes spanning the entire width and length of the walls – one of the walls is equipped with wardrobes with white doors, while the other wall is equipped with sliding doors wardrobes disguised with mirrors.

The master bathroom is also decorated in classic lines, with ceramic finishes in a light beige shade, a free-standing bathtub, a walk-in shower and a straight-line washbasin with white furniture. The highlights of the bathroom are the mirror in the washbasin area and the wall in the shower area finished with 3D tiles, thus adding a dynamic look to the bathroom’s design.

The boy’s bedroom is spacious enough, decorated in simple lines. The room is divided into a resting area, featuring an upholstered bed with a wall decorated in light green and white wallpaper, a study area as well, equipped with a spacious desk and ample storage. The wall in the desk’s area and the door were painted in a shade of blue, a color that smoothly makes the transition between the two zones. The wardrobe features doors concealed with mirrors, thus providing the feeling of more spaciousness.

The boy’s bathroom complements the room, with blue and white as the predominant shades. A very interesting element here is the finish chosen for the floor, a tile pattern that resembles parquet. Due to the fact that the bathroom is not very spacious, we opted for a walk-in shower instead of a bathtub.

It may seem like a cliché, but…the little girl’s bedroom is decorated predominantly in pink. Here too, we chose to divide the room into the sleeping area, equipped with an upholstered bed, and the study area, equipped with a white desk that can later be used as a makeup table. In order to keep everything organized, we placed mini-libraries on both sides of the bed. Moreover, the dressing room was equipped with a spacious wardrobe with sliding doors enhanced with mirrors, visually enlarging the space.

The little girl’s bathroom is decorated in the same style as the bedroom, with white and pink as the predominant shades. Here too, we chose a tile pattern that resembles parquet and a walk-in shower.

The final result is in line with the owners’ expectations, a classic, unified, balanced and functional environment.

Home Office – Tips and Design Ideas

For most of us, home has become not only a place of refuge from everyday life but also a space where we now carry out activities we once did at the office. The way you arrange your workspace influences your productivity and well-being. Therefore, try to create a workspace that is separate from other activities such as relaxation, rest and entertainment.

Setting Up an Office in a Corner of the Bedroom

In this context, for many interior design projects we have included and arranged a space for working – whether we are talking about a room intended exclusively for the office or a corner of the bedroom, living room or balcony meant for working from home.

Setting Up a Home Office for Two People – A Space Dedicated Exclusively to Work

So, the first and most important thing in setting up your home office is to clearly separate the work space from the areas meant for household activities, rest or relaxation. This helps you not to get distracted while working and to fulfill your office tasks. Additionally, you won’t associate your resting or relaxation space with work.

Comfortable Chairs and Simple-Line Furniture – Home Office Setup

The desk and chair are the essential pieces you need to set up your home workspace with. You can find a variety of chair and desk models in both physical and online stores, but you must keep in mind that the work area should be a cohesive complementation of your home decor. For a modern design, you can choose a minimalist desk with simple lines. If your home is decorated in a classic style, choose a solid wood desk. On the other hand, the chair should provide you with optimal comfort and help you maintain a proper position throughout the entire time you are sitting at the desk.

Setting Up an Office in the Living Room – A Natural Extension of the Decor

When it comes to lighting, we recommend placing your desk in an area with plenty of natural light, perhaps even on the balcony or in front of a window. Avoid placing your monitor facing the window because this way the light will hit the screen directly and will significantly reduce visibility. When the sun is too strong, curtains can be a lifesaver. Choose an artificial light source and we recommend that you opt for ambient lightning – a table lamp/lamp placed on your desk will not only enhance your desk, but you will also have some light for the evenings that catch you still at the office.

Setting Up an Office by the Window, in the Dressing Area

Moving on to organizing your desk, we know that clutter is the biggest productivity killer. Organize all your objects and documents in storage furniture, such as shelves, dressers, drawers, or even mini-libraries if space allows it. In order to save space, expand your storage furniture vertically rather than horizontally. We recommend that your desk be as open and airy as possible. Organize the items you choose to keep on your desk in trays, holders, or boxes.

Office Set Up in the Bedroom – Organizing the Desk and Storage Spaces for Increased Productivity

Your home office can evolve, whether through improvements to make your work more efficient, changes in your workflow, or a shift in your job. Be as flexible as possible, use your creativity, take into account your real needs, and your home office can become the perfect place to do your work.

Ideas and Tips for a Feng Shui Interior Design

Most of the time, a Feng Shui-designed home is obtained by combining good taste and style with an optimal approach to space. In other words, Feng Shui style involves arranging furniture and utilizing space in a specific way to create a comfortable and welcoming room. Perhaps for Westerners, the philosophy of Feng Shui is difficult to understand, but the rules of this technique are based on two extremely important and not at all difficult to understand factors: balance and harmony. So, whether you want to design your Feng Shui home for luck, prosperity or health (as the practitioners of this philosophy say) or you want a home where harmony and balance prevail, we have prepared tips and ideas for an ideal design!

What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui means “wind water” and is an ancient Chinese art of arrangement, where the placement of objects influences the vital Qi energy of a space. If we refer to Feng Shui interior design, it should be noted that Feng Shui reflects an environment designed to create a space where you feel both energized and relaxed, a space that supports your personal growth.

What are the rules of Feng Shui?

We can not say that the philosophy of Feng Shui promotes strict rules, but rather suggestions for arranging the house so that the final result will be a harmonious and balanced decor, regardless of the chosen design style. These design suggestions are very similar to the standard rules that are applied when it comes to arranging a comfortable and harmonious home:

  • The front door should open inward, not outward. Place a painting of flowers, fruits, or plants as close to the entrance as possible, as it symbolizes abundance entering the home. Never place a mirror directly opposite the front door, it can either scare or surprise the person entering the house;
  • Furniture should have symmetrical, regular shapes. In Feng Shui philosophy, a full circle is preferred over a semicircle, and a square is preferred over a rectangle.
  • Make sure that empty spaces in the house are very well lit;
  • Large mirrors placed on the wall must be high enough so as not to visually cut off the legs or head of the person looking in the mirror;
  • Windows and windowsills should always be neat and clean.

Feng Shui design in the living room

The living room, especially when it incorporates the dining area, is an extremely important space in the home. The Feng Shui living room should be located in the center of the house in order to highlight its importance. Choose a large enough dining table, preferably round, with one leg (in Chinese tradition, the dining room table represents the tree of wealth). The table should not be placed under a beam, between two doors, or in a manner that allows to be seen from the main door. To avoid these spots that evoke misfortune (as considered by Feng Shui practitioners), opt for decorative screens and houseplants to place between the table and the door.

Feng Shui Bedroom Design

A Feng Shui bedroom requires paying attention especially to the positioning of the bed. It should be placed in the farthest corner of the room and diagonally to the door. Avoid positioning the bed directly aligned with the door, meaning you should not sleep with your head or feet facing the door. The headboard of the bed is also important, and wooden or upholstered headboards are the most suitable for influencing the energy of the place. Lights in the bedroom should not be positioned above the bed, but rather on either side, on the bedside tables. Ceiling lights should be spread symmetrically and evenly.

Feng Shui Bedroom Design – Upholstered Bed with Headboard Positioned in the Farthest Corner of the Room from the Door. Apartment Design Project in Dubai

Feng Shui Kitchen Design

If you live in a house, the kitchen should be located in a secluded area on the ground floor. Instead, if you live in an apartment, the kitchen is certainly positioned closer to the entrance, so be careful when placing the stove in order not to disrupt the flow of energy in the house – the correct placement of the stove, from a Feng Shui point of view, is diagonally opposite the entrance.

Feng Shui Bathroom Design

For a proper Feng Shui bathroom design, you should focus on the doors – they should not face the house’s front door (according to symbolism, the family’s wealth flows away with the water on Saturdays). However, if you are faced with this situation, there are Feng Shui remedies: paint the door red to evoke positive energy or you can cover it with a mirror.

Feng Shui Bathroom – Two-Room Apartment Design Project in Dubai

There are also some Feng Shui decorations that you can opt for in your home decor: mirrors (they visually enlarge the space and provide visibility to certain areas that would otherwise remain hidden), wind chimes (they restore harmony and temper the flow of energy, but never position them next to a door or an arch), or fish tanks (they bring luck, but don’t place them in the kitchen, under beams or facing the front door). Feng Shui plants are important as well, but what you need to know, first of all, is not to keep withered plants in the house (if you don’t have time to take care of them, choose artificial ones): yellow chrysanthemums (they are considered lucky flowers), orchids, peonies, white magnolias and let’s not forget bamboo, a symbol of wisdom.

Feng Shui will bring a new perspective on arranging your home in a balanced and harmonious way. The rules of Feng Shui may be more difficult to understand, but the most important thing is that their goal is to create a comfortable and appropriate arrangement.

Our Work: Spacious House Designed for a Family with One Child

The most important aspect of any interior design project is the family for whom it is created and the overall context. The house that we will present in this article was designed for a young family, with one child, who wanted a functional kitchen, with enough storage space, an airy and minimalist living area in terms of colors, bedrooms as free as possible from furniture and simple but elegant bathrooms. In this context, the final result is a unique design that combines functionality with carefully selected furniture and a few accent colors.

The entrance to the house leads directly into the living area, where the living room, dining area, and kitchen openly connect with one another. In order for the space to be orderly, as well as visually surprising, we chose unitary finishes: light-colored parquet and white walls, and as for the furniture we opted for tones of gray and beige, combined with black (the kitchen).

The kitchen is organized in an L-shape with custom-made furniture. The window area was left open to allow as much light as possible to flood the space. The matte black furniture (similar to the window joinery) gives the feeling of an orderly and airy space.

For a tidy look, the kitchen furniture was designed with milled handles. The worktop area is extended by the small island. This kitchen design provides minimal visibility over the worktop from and to the living room. All appliances are integrated into the furniture, and for the wall in the worktop area, we chose gray finishes to create a seamless connection with the dining and living areas. The kitchen lighting fixtures give the space an industrial look.

The entire ground floor of the house is decorated in a cohesive style, in beige and gray tones, which are found both in the overall decoration and in the furniture. The entire space is utilized to its maximum potential – we integrated a generous sofa and a table for six people on the ground floor. The TV was placed on the wall between the windows, so that there is visibility from all the corners of the living room space. For a dynamic effect, the wall behind the TV was enhanced with a decorative wallpaper in gray tones. The yellow armchair, the coffee table, the chest of drawers in the TV area and the chest of drawers in the dining zone harmoniously complement the entire space.

The master bedroom is decorated in a modern, simple and minimalist style. The ribbing panels behind the bed and the contrast between the two walls to the left and right of the bed add a touch of refinement to the bedroom and inspire the feeling of a restful, welcoming and airy space. The mirrors applied to the wooden ribbing provide depth to the space and visually enlarge it. The bed in the master bedroom has a simple and modern shape, being upholstered for added comfort. At floor level, the carpet is asymmetrical in relation to the ribbing behind the bed, but symmetrical with the gray wall.

For the child’s room, we took into account the age and concerns of the little one and adapted the color palette as well as the features. Therefore, the child’s room is flooded with white, blue and pale pink. The functional layout can also be noticed here, meaning that the room is divided into a rest area and a play/study area. The rest area is composed of the blue Montessori bed, and the wall behind it is decorated with plywood that resembles clouds. The play/study area features a small table with a chair, while the shelves on this wall serve to maintain order. The cabinets were chosen to cover the entire wall next to the door, and all the room’s furnishings were made in a manner that keeps the center of the room as free as possible.

The guest bedroom is simply decorated in shades of blue. The wall behind the bed as well as the rug add dynamism and depth to the space. Here too, the bed features upholstery for extra comfort.

The three bathrooms are designed in harmony with the rest of the house. For an extra touch of elegance, we chose a dark gray ceramic tile for the first bathroom. Additionally, for a neat and timeless look, the furniture was chosen to have the same shade as the walls.

The second bathroom is also elegantly designed, thanks to marble-look finishes. For a dynamic effect, we chose a mosaic-type cladding for the shower area and for the wall behind the mirror.

The third bathroom is minimalist, with ceramic tiles in shades of gray and beige, a mosaic wall, a bathtub and a free-standing washbasin. For optimal storage, we opted to build a cabinet into the wall above the toilet.

The result is functional, harmonious, welcoming and, without a doubt, will last over time, thanks to the high-quality furniture, sanitary ware and finishes.

Trends: Bathroom Design with Colored Sanitary Fixtures

Most of us are used to apartments or houses with shared bathrooms, made up of standard, white sanitary ware. But what if the bathroom became more than just a functional space? What if we could breathe new life into the bathroom, making it vibrant, full of color and style, with colorful sanitary ware? Fortunately, now it is possible!

Currently, we have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of colored sanitary ware that has begun to appear on the Romanian market. There is a wide range of colors and shapes, textures and materials different from the classic glossy white ceramics so that you can design your bathroom exactly according to your taste. Washbasins, toilets, bathtubs are no longer just strictly functional objects: with the right choice they play an extremely important role in the aesthetics and ambiance of the bathroom.

Copper is one of the most popular finishes for bathroom fixtures, whether it’s pink copper for an elegant ambiance or reddish copper for a rustic ambiance. Bathroom fixtures with copper finishes work well in bathrooms decorated in a white-gray color scheme with marble elements or, for an industrial ambiance, with concrete-finished walls.

For those who love art and want a truly special bathroom, hand-painted ceramic sanitary ware is the ideal choice! Talavera ceramics, as its name suggests, is a type of ceramic that is characterized by hand-painting with natural pigments of yellow, green, purple, blue and black on a white ceramic base. Therefore, sanitary ware with decorative paintings will become statement pieces in any bathroom!

A truly special typology, but also the newest and most well-known, is represented by the colored sanitary ware from the collection DALET Color, signed by the famous designer Karim Rashid, in the portfolio Delta Studio.

Powder pink, ocher or green, are sophisticated shades intended for the smart luxury segment, allowing for the design of a minimalist, classic or modern bathroom.

Our Work – 8 Designs with Wood Accents from Our Projects

It is well known that wood transforms any home into a comfortable and welcoming space, but more than that, wood adds a noble and charming air to the room. This year, wood is one of the trending materials and a favorite among interior designers, allowing you to add a natural accent to your home decor. We have prepared some ideas for decors with wood accents from our projects. We hope they will inspire you too!

Wood Accents in Living Room Design

In the design of this apartment in Dubai, we designed the decor of the entire space with wooden accents. We chose to present the living room to you today, but you can see the entire design here. The living room is separated from the kitchen and hallway area by wooden ribbing. The decor was designed to complement the hallway and the kitchen, so we opted for the combination of gray with wooden textures. We enhanced the living room with a generous sofa and a wooden bookcase, pieces chosen especially for this environment. The rest of the furniture pieces are meant to add warm to this welcoming setting. The white curtains and the wooden rocking chair perfectly complement the living room and give the environment the feeling of airy space. Both the fireplace and the wooden logs placed under the bookcase add more texture to the room and highlight the idea of designing with wooden accents.

The furniture – bedside tables, beds, wardrobes – enhance the idea of decorating with wooden accents.

Wood Accents in Kitchen Design

In designing this Dubai 4-bedroom apartment, we chose to keep the kitchen simple, cohesive and tidy. The furniture with wooden cabinet doors was custom-made and designed to provide maximum storage. The rest of the kitchen furniture is chosen to create a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The chairs contrast beautifully with the natural white and brown tones of the furniture, creating an airy space.

In this kitchen, we chose wooden accents to improve the atmosphere, integrating a piece of furniture with open wooden shelves in the refrigerator area and in the island area. The island and the chairs were designed with wooden accents in order to enhance the environment and eliminate the monotony inspired by the neutral finishes and wall color.
