Our Work – 250 sqm Home Designed for a Young Family

We are curious, what does the house you have always dreamed of look like? Who knows, maybe you already live in it but you don’t realize it or maybe you can’t obtain the ambiance you want. That’s why it’s best to turn to an interior designer who brings a fresh perspective to your home while still aligning with your style and vision. This was the case with the family whose house we will showcase in the following lines. The owners contacted us and we decorated their 250 sqm house, arranged on ground and first floors, in a modern style with precious accents and minimalist areas. Come see the result that we achieved!

The house’s entryway seamlessly connects with the living and dining spaces. We arranged the hall in an organized manner, creating a pleasant and calm environment. We chose a simple chest of drawers for decorations, a mirror of the same texture and an emerald green sofa to enhance the atmosphere.

The house’s ground floor, consisting of the living room and dining area, is decorated in a coherent style, in tones of white and natural wood, with accents of purple, green, gray and pink, which are found in both the furniture and the decorative elements.

The ample space in the living room and dining area enabled us to place a large table for six and a spacious sofa. The furniture is white, simple and placed on the entire wall next to the window, seamlessly extending into a matching TV console. The interior staircase was concealed using slatted panels, which were used for the wall behind the TV as well.

Additionally, the kitchen is also on the main floor, separated from the rest of the ground floor by full-height glass windows for a visual effect of greater space. The kitchen is decorated in a modern style, in shades of black and white. For a unique accent, we coated the wall next to the door with cement-type paint. Organizing the furniture along the entire wall where the window is located gives depth to the space. The furniture was custom-made and was designed without handles for the cabinets and drawers, precisely to create an orderly appearance. The appliances are built-in and, because the space allowed it and in order to complement the decor, we also designed a dining area for four people here.

The two bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary, modern style with unique accents. For a contrast of textures and an extra touch of elegance, we chose to paint the wall behind the bed with cement-type paint, adding a special finish.

The lighting fixtures were designed to create a restful space. The beds in both bedrooms are simple, contemporary and upholstered, for extra comfort. The mirrors visually enlarge the space, and the color palette that we used adds elegance to the rooms.

The child’s room was decorated taking into account the child’s age and the decor in the rest of the house, adapting the color scheme a little in order to keep the visual coherence. In addition to white and gray, we inserted tones of green and blue on the wall behind the bed.

Both bathrooms were treated as simply and elegantly as possible, creating a timeless atmosphere with the help of marble finishes and selected sanitary ware.

Trends: Freestanding Bathtubs. What to Consider When Choosing a Freestanding Bathtub

Freestanding bathtubs have become very popular in recent years. This is due to the fact that they are bigger and safer than other bathtubs but also because they add an extra touch of elegance and personality to the bathroom. Freestanding bathtubs can be placed in any space intended for the bathroom, they are made of acrylic (a material that is very easy to maintain), but we also find freestanding bathtubs made of stone or cast iron. The mask and the support are directly cast inside the bathtub, which gives it strength and stability.

Bathroom Design Project with a Freestanding Bathtub; Interwar House in Dubai

Freestanding bathtubs can be placed in any bathroom, whether we are talking about a bathroom with a generous space, in a house, or a small bathroom, in an apartment building. The implementation is simple, the drain is hidden under the bathtub and easy to access. We have prepared some aspects that you should consider when choosing a freestanding bathtub.

Where to position the bathtub
No one wants an overwhelming and tiring bathroom, and the positioning of the bathtub plays an extremely important role in what atmosphere and vibe you experience. So you have to consider maximizing the space and placing the bathtub strategically: if the bathroom has a window, then the best place is right next to it; if you also have a beautiful view, even better. If you do not have a window in the bathroom, then choose a suitable place for the bathtub so that you facilitate the access to the space.

Positioning the Bathtub Next to the Window

Storage Spaces
Freestanding bathtubs are different from classic bathtubs. They do not have edges wide enough for hair and body products. Therefore, choose a piece of furniture where you can store your care products or opt for a wooden or bamboo chair to position right next to the bathtub or suspended shelves above it.

Bathroom Design in a Villa in Dubai; The centerpiece is the freestanding bathtub, and for storage of care products, we opted for suspended shelves above the bathtub

Bathroom Design in an Apartment in Dubai; We chose a wooden shelf next to the bathtub for storing care products

Which model to choose
You can find freestanding bathtubs in a large range of versions – oval, round, square, curved, straight, with or without legs. Appearance is very important when choosing a bathtub, but make sure it matches both the style of the bathroom and your personality.

Colors, shades
When it comes to the color of your bathtub, you can be creative and flexible at the same time because, normally, bathtubs come painted with a protective layer over which you can add any color you want. Although most people prefer the classic white for the bathtub since it can be easily matched with the rest of the sanitary ware, you can be braver than that and you can choose a black or, why not, gray freestanding bathtub.

The right faucets
A freestanding bathtub and a suitable faucet should be in perfect harmony. You can choose the faucet according to the style of the bathroom (classic, minimalist, vintage), but the finish is an aspect that must be taken into account as well (chrome, copper or brass). Regardless of your choice (floor-standing or wall-mounted faucets), the final result will be an impressive one.

Our Work – Bright 3-Bedroom Apartment with Yellow and Blue Accents

When you want to furnish your home, the biggest challenge is defining your vision for the interior design. Beyond style, colors, finishes, furniture, the functionality of the space is important as well. Today we present you the design project of an apartment with a generous space of approximately 90sqm, for which we wanted to obtain a timeless design, in which industrial elements would blend perfectly with elegant ones, and the main requirement was to achieve the most generous spaces for storage and come up with innovative solutions in this regard.

Spacious Apartment Designed for a Bright and Inviting Atmosphere

Living Room
The real challenge was designing the living room – a spacious and very welcoming room with glam accents, where we integrated a large extendable sofa, a bar and a dining area for eight people. Due to the fact that the space was quite small, we opted for an extendable coffee table (a table that converts into a dining table). The royal blue sofa serves as the standout accent in the living room The TV stand and the hanging cabinets on the same wall harmoniously complement the space.

The Master Bedroom

The master bedroom’s design was intended to be bright, with an imposing bed full of personality. We opted for an industrial design, while the royal blue upholstered bed adds a glamorous and elegant touch to the room. For industrial accents, we used a concrete-effect paint for the wall behind the bed, thus maintaining the visual harmony with the ceiling. To preserve the spaciousness and brightness of the room, we opted for compact furniture, without unnecessarily burdening the space.

Secondary Bedroom

The second bedroom is a hybrid room: a dressing room for the owners and a welcoming bedroom for guests. As finishes, we chose decorative paint to create the striped wall behind the sofa, the chosen color range being white and gray. To visually enlarge the space, we chose to cover the wardrobe doors with mirrors.

The Kitchen

The owners wanted a special kitchen, unique and attractive, but at the same time minimalist. We opted for a black and white combination (used for the furniture and the print on the floor), as well as for yellow accents. The kitchen was designed from the beginning for generous storage, with built-in placement of household appliances.

Hallway

For the hallway, we chose a hanging storage unit to avoid cluttering the space. We accessorized one of the walls with a large painting to personalize this space as well.

The Bathroom

For the bathroom, we opted for an elegant design, with gold and concrete gray accents. The bathroom was designed with generous storage space under the sink area. The colors complement the modern design of the room, while the mirrors visually enlarge the space.

Therefore, we created a harmonious environment, in neutral shades of white, gray and black. The final design is timeless and glam. The addition of yellow and blue accents through furniture pieces, decorative objects and wall paint, was carefully thought of so that the result would meet our client’s expectations.

Trends: Autumn Colors in Interior Design

The transition from one season to another often inspires us to make changes in our home decor, especially since nature is one of the greatest sources of inspiration when it comes to interior design. Today we’re talking about the autumn color palette and how it can be harmoniously integrated into the design of a home.

Autumn is defined by warm yet dramatic colors that can provide a stunning appearance to a room, adding extra comfort and coziness. The autumn color palette is composed of pale yellow, pumpkin orange, green, chocolate brown, plum brown and dark purple.

Choose to combine shades of purple and burgundy with deep browns and black. For contrast, you can add shades of yellow, green, or even pink. If you don’t want to paint and prefer white walls, choose a piece of furniture in autumn colors, for example the sofa, and play with decorations, textiles and prints – rugs, decorative pillows, curtains and drapes.

Orange and rust can create a pleasant and warm atmosphere. Choose these colors for curtains, rugs, drapes or decorative pillows. For a more relaxing atmosphere you can keep the walls in shades of green or white. Choose white decorative objects for extra brightness.

Do you like yellow and rust-colored leaves? Opt for this color palette for curtains or armchair covers. This color combination goes perfectly with white or yellow furniture. For an energizing atmosphere, choose a rug or other textiles in shades of purple.

Shades of brown and beige – a safe and effective color palette. Additionally, choose some decorations (photo frames, decorative pillows) in shades of orange, rust, dark brown for contrast and light curtains for brightness.

If the finishes are natural or if wood is the main material, you can choose a curtain in autumnal shades or even a sofa in pumpkin orange. Moreover, in a room where gray or black predominates, choose to combine these shades with cool blue or beige-brown and metallic lighting fixtures.

Therefore, you can create an autumn look inside your home without major changes, keeping the paint and furniture in the already used colors. Instead, you can play with textures and decorations and change the curtains, rugs, sofa upholstery and accessories – frames, window sills, paintings, candles – to autumn colors.

Our Work – Five Children’s Rooms from Our Projects

Most of our apartment or house design projects have included the design of at least one children’s room. All requirements were different, the sizes of the rooms were different as well, so we can say that designing a child’s room is a real challenge, especially since, most of the time, the little ones are not easy to please. Today we present you five children’s rooms from our projects that we hope you will be inspired by.

Room with a Library for a Teenage Girl

Decorated in pink and white shades, the bedroom perfectly reflects the girl’s personality. We chose pink paint for the walls, which excellently complements the simple, white furniture. Since the space available for the dressing room behind the door was not wide enough, we opted for a shallower but longer dressing room to cover her needs. The asymmetrically designed bookcase complements the chosen desk.

Room with a Chalkboard Wall

For this room, we opted for practical, easy-to-maintain furniture that would fulfill all its functions. We positioned the desk by the window and chose to decorate a wall with a chalkboard in order to create a place of interest and attraction.

Room with a Reading Nook by the Window, for Two Girls

This room had to be special because the beneficiaries were making the transition from an apartment to a house. Thus, for the girls to settle into their new room, it had to reflect their personality. We chose to decorate it in tones of pale pink and white without cluttering the space, creating a cozier atmosphere through multiple materials and textures. We created a reading area by the window and then we placed a desk next to it.

A Cohesive Room Design for a Little Girl

This bedroom was designed as a cohesive space – combining a dressing room and office, along with a bedroom and reading area. The simple, custom-made furniture offers enough storage space, combining both aesthetics and functionality. The reading area, arranged right in front of the window, is furnished with the bare necessities. The shades of the curtains and the upholstery of the bench are matched to the rest of the room. The wall in the bed and office area was personalized with the color of the wallpaper that we applied. The shade of purple was chosen in accordance with the rest of the arrangement.

Bunk Bed Room for Two Children

This arrangement’s uniqueness is reflected by the position of the bunk beds against the wall, which gives the impression of a tree house. The leafy wall and the swing placed right in front of this wall add a special touch to the entire room, and the white-natural wood color scheme enhance the effect of a relaxing oasis.

Trends: Metallic Accents in Interior Design

In interior design, metallic accents integrated into a room’s decor will completely transform the room’s appearance, adding a glam and luxurious touch. The secret? Mix the materials correctly, and the palette of metallic accents will be in harmony with any style of interior design. For example, in modern interiors, shiny metallic accents can create a luxurious setting, while in industrial interiors, matte, polished metallic accents are the ones that give a unique look to the interior design.

Metallic Accents in the Interior Design Project of a Four-Room Apartment in Dubai

What Are the Metallic Shades?

Metallic shades add brightness to a dark room and bring a sophisticated and personality-filled touch to any decor. Metallic shades are varied and have different finishes – bronze, gold, silver (matte shade), stainless steel (glossy shade), aluminum, steel, chrome, copper, brass, iron, nickel. However, any glossy surface can exhibit metallic reflections if its brightness changes depending on the angle of the surface relative to the light source. Thus, in addition to the classic metallic shades, you can add other metallic shades to your home decor, such as metallic green, metallic blue, metallic orange. To outline a modern ambiance, you can use a few metallic details in cool shades (silver, steel, nickel). In contrast, warm metallic shades (metallic pink or gold) outline a refined and welcoming room.

Combine Metallic Shades

If in the past, interior design rules did not allow you to combine multiple metallic shades in one room, now things are different, you can do that while respecting one important rule: do not combine multiple metallic shades in equal proportions, but choose a single dominant metallic shade and a maximum of other two accent metallic shades to maintain visual balance in the room. When combining metallic shades, choose them so that they excellently work together, balancing warm dominants with cool accents and vice versa.

A combination of golden metallic accents (on the wall and mirror frames) with silver metallic accents (on the table legs)

Balance

It’s best to choose one dominant metallic shade and enhance it with two or three other accent metallic shades, placing them evenly throughout the room. For example, incorporate metallic shades at the bottom of the room (at floor or sofa level), higher up on the wall (in picture frames or mirrors, for example), and close to the ceiling (in light fixtures).

Golden Metallic Accents Incorporated at the Bottom of the Room (on Chair Legs), on the Wall (in the Mirror Frame Supports), and Near the Ceiling (in the Light Fixtures)

Metallic Shades and Delicate Textures

To soften the shine of metallic shades without losing their charm, you can choose to combine them with natural textures, such as wool or velvet. Wood beautifully compliments the metallic shades specific to the industrial style.

Golden Metallic Shades Combined with Velvet

“Less is more” is the rule that guides the choice of metallic shades. So, follow this rule, combine metallic shades that highlight each other and create a balance by taming the metallic shades with delicate and natural textures. Keep certain proportions and you will transform your home decor into an elegant and harmonious one.

Colors Transform an Ambiance – A Modern Apartment in Dubai, Designed with Bold Splashes of Color

Many people avoid using colors in interior design simply because they find it difficult to properly match colors or because they find it difficult to choose the most appropriate shades for the space they are decorating. Today we present you the design project for a 4-bedroom apartment in Dubai where we focused on vivid shades and bold colors to personalize each room.

A Modern Apartment in Dubai, Designed with Bold Splashes of Color

The apartment has an area of 112 square meters and is divided into 4 rooms. The owners, a family with a school-aged daughter and a cat, wanted the final result to reflect a relaxing and warm place, full of color, with high-quality furniture.

The kitchen was treated in a simple manner, unitarily and neatly, with a wall decorated with generous custom-made furniture, designed to provide maximum storage. The rest of the kitchen furniture was chosen revolving around the idea of obtaining a warm and pleasant environment. The chairs nicely complement the natural white and brown shades of the furniture, making the space as airy as possible.

The living room and dining area evoke an airy, modern and colorful atmosphere. The multi-armed light fixture that occupies a large surface of the ceiling harmoniously unifies the functional areas of the room. The neutral background is complemented by the color accents of the decorations. The spacious L-shaped library, custom-made, flows seamlessly into a TV stand.

For the entrance hall, we opted for full-height built-in wardrobes, thus ensuring sufficient storage space. Incorporated into the white furniture with classic millwork, we find the bench and backrest as a strong accent in red textile.

The little girl’s bedroom is grouped as a unit – dressing room and office, bedroom and reading area. The simple, custom-made furniture offers enough storage space, combining both aesthetics and functionality.

The reading area, arranged right in front of the window, is furnished with the bare necessities. The shades of the curtains and the upholstery of the bench are matched to the rest of the environment, keeping a coherent appearance.

The wall next to the bed and desk area was personalized with the color of the wallpaper applied. The shade of purple was chosen in accordance with the rest of the interior design.

The master bedroom is simple and uncluttered, with the room’s personalization achieved through accent shades of decoration. The makeup area by the window serves as both a dressing table and a desk.

After the rearrangement, the apartment is bright, warm, inspiring a relaxing atmosphere. We achieved generous storage spaces through discreet, functional, and pleasant-looking furniture. The bold shades, as well as the artificial lighting in each room, are the details that make the difference.

Home Spa: Transform Your Bathroom into a Relaxation Oasis

Each of us wants to end our busy days with the ultimate relaxation session – for some, relaxation means watching a movie, whereas for others a good dinner is just what they need. And there are still some people for whom relaxation means a hot shower. But what if you take it to the next level and amplify the atmosphere of relaxation? We have prepared some tips and ideas for you to transform your bathroom into a true oasis of relaxation, being able to benefit from a spa session right at your home!

Bathroom Design – Interior Design Project for a House

Organization and Cleanliness

In a disorganized bathroom, you can’t relax properly. So prepare your relaxation oasis by sanitizing all your bathroom fixtures and storing all your cleaning and care products in the cabinets. If your storage space is not very generous, choose a few decorative baskets to store your cosmetics. Avoid keeping all the products you use on the edge of the bathtub because it is visually distracting and, in addition, the space will be very cluttered. For your home spa area, you need an airy and free space that that will help you enter a state of relaxation.

Organization and Bathroom Design – Interior Design Project for a 4-Bedroom Apartment

Floor and Walls in Neutral Shades

If you want to renovate your bathroom, keep in mind the tiles and floor coverings you choose. Neutral, natural shades or those that resemble wood or natural stone create a pleasant and warm atmosphere. Opt for tiles that imitate wood or stone, and if you don’t plan on completely renovating your bathroom, a few stones by the tub or a wooden mat are perfect choices!

Wall and Floor Cladding with Stone and Marble – Interior Design Project for a 3-Room Apartment

Sanitary Fixtures

If you are in the process of designing your bathroom, choose sanitary ware with special features that will transform your bathroom into a real spa. Of course, the bathtub is the most important element, so choose one with a hydromassage function. If you prefer a shower or if simply your space does not allow you to opt for a bathtub, choose a shower with water jet systems such as a rain or waterfall.

Bathroom Design – Interior Design Project for a House

Natural Elements

There are various plants that love humidity, so you can bring nature into your bathroom and enhance the relaxing atmosphere. You can also opt for shells and stones that you can place on the edge of the tub, a stool or a wooden ladder on which you can put some flowers or scented candles.

Trends: Walk-In Closet

Rooms in houses and apartments are getting smaller, so the storage space for clothes is also becoming small and cramped. However, there is an increasingly common solution in interior design that saves you from having to cram clothes into a small and cramped closet: the walk-in dressing room.

Custom-Made Walk-In Closet for the Owners of a Villa in Dubai

In order to be able to arrange a walk-in dressing room, you need an available empty space, such as a closet, attic or an unused hallway, as well as creativity and inspiration. A walk-in dressing room can be created of materials such as wood, chipboard, MDF or even metal. Most walk-in dressing rooms are custom-made, but if you don’t have the patience to wait until it’s ready, you can opt for a mass-produced dressing room at specialty stores that you can assemble yourself. With a little luck, you will find exactly what you want but that also fits the dimensions of the available space.

Custom-Made MDF Walk-In Closet for the Interior Design Project of a House in Dubai

If space allows, you can opt for a walk-in dressing room with a makeup table and ironing board, a desk or even a seating area. Opt for drawers, doors, shelves, bars, hanging shelves, special boxes for special storage. Thus, all clothing items will be as well organized as possible.

Reasons to Choose Custom-Made Furniture

Lately, furnishing your home with the perfect furniture has become a real challenge, and this is because the field is constantly developing and we have a variety of offers and furniture models at our disposal. However, in most cases people fail to find the furniture they want, despite the variety. The reasons can be diverse – either the space to be furnished has atypical dimensions, or the owners are looking for a special model of furniture that reflects their personality, and the model available on the market would not fulfill this aspect.

Custom-made furniture is the solution to furnish your home exactly the way you want, especially since it allows you to play with sizes, styles and colors. In this article, you will find some reasons why you should choose custom-made furniture in your home furnishing.

Custom-Made Kitchen Design in an Apartment in Dubai: The Ideal Solution for a Small Space

Uniqueness – you can choose the color of your furniture, the dimensions, shapes, or the closing system of the cabinet doors or drawers. Moreover, you can get inspiration from magazines or specialty stores, but keep in mind it is important to add your personal touch on the details.

The design of this bathroom in a villa in Dubai is definitely a unique project. The custom-made furniture was specially created to achieve a minimalist design while also providing functional storage space.

Quality – we are sure that many times you have liked a certain piece of furniture but the material was of questionable quality. By opting for custom-made furniture, you can choose the materials yourself, depending on your budget, and thus you will be sure of the furniture’s quality and durability.

Custom-Made Kitchen Design for a Villa in Dubai

Design – here you only need a little inspiration and imagination and you can transform your furniture into a work of art. Let yourself be inspired, play with shades, materials and use contrasts so that your personality and desired style can be found in the design of your home.

This children’s room in a villa in Dubai was created with custom-made furniture, which helped us bring a fairy-tale touch to the room

Adaptability – perhaps the biggest advantage of custom furniture is that it can be tailored to your specific needs in terms of material, size, and design. Custom furniture can be built to fit perfectly into hard-to-reach areas of a room, so you can make the most of every corner of the available space.

When space doesn’t allow you to set up a separate office, here’s the solution we found in the design project for a 2-bedroom apartment in Dubai – the office is integrated into the remaining space of the walk-in closet
