Interior Design of an Optimally Functional Residential Apartment
When we started the project for this apartment, the main purpose was to create an airy, extremely bright space divided in a balanced manner, without cluttering it with unnecessary furniture pieces. We met multiple times with the owners to discuss every single aspect of this design and the excellent communication helped us build a modern, warm, and highly practical concept, tailored exactly to their lifestyle. Enhancing the clients’ comfort represents the key aspect we constantly tried to emphasize throughout this project.
Unlike other interior designs, in this case we relied heavily on visual continuity, using a subtle and clean palette based on cream, beige, white, and warm wood textures. In the room dedicated to the home office, we created a generous bookcase with LED strip lighting and added a wallpaper featuring an impressive landscape that completely shifts the mood of the room when working from home. The living area and the kitchen communicate very well from a functional standpoint, maintaining a minimalist line through the suspended white furniture and the dining table. The long hallway was smartly utilized with floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobes and an accent wall decorated with a round mirror and artistic wallpaper, with each of the previously mentioned elements complementing one another exceptionally. The master bedroom was created in a simple and clean manner, featuring an upholstered bed, a bench at its base, and other specific components very discreetly integrated to make the most of the room’s spaciousness. For the bathrooms, we opted for two complementary approaches. One of these approaches consists of a bathtub, matte finishes, and a circular mirror with perimeter lighting, while the other features a walk-in shower, tiled with wood-texture tiles and vertical slats. Every light fixture and every invisible or flush door was selected to give the home a modern, airy feel that is easy to maintain.
